PEDESTRIAN INCENTIVE PROGRAM This program promotes an inexpensive way of getting around, walking. No fancy equipment or expensive add-ons. Maybe just a good pair of comfortable shoes. The Yolo TMA has received funding from the Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District to subsidize alternative commuter modes under The Rideshare Incentive Program. "TRIP" will provide a financial incentive of $10.00 per month for three months to commuters who walk to and from work a minimum of one (1) mile each way. To qualify, each participant only needs to walk at least 50% of their commute distance per month. TRIP participants who stay with their walking program for a period of one year and use their rideshare alternative at least ten (10) days per month, will receive a bonus incentive of $50 and a $50 gift certificate from a local shoe store of the TMA’s choice. 1. Any individual may apply to receive an incentive under this program providing the individual is an employee of a Yolo TMA member in good standing. “Employee” is defined as any person paid to work a minimum of 20 hours per week. 2. Qualified applicants will be selected based on a review of all applications. 3. Each recognized participant receiving an incentive will agree to submit a report showing approximately how many commute days were completed by walking. 4.
